Reality Mining
The answer to the question you're asking yourself right now is yes. Yes, you will have to add this term to the actual data mining glossary. As presented in the April 2008 issue of Technology Review, reality mining consists of mining personal data for understanding social interactions and more generally human behavior.
In details, the idea is to mine data obtained from cellphone sensors such as location, physical activity, etc. to better suit users need. As often in data mining, the deal is: How much personal information do you agree to communicate to companies in exchange of better and more personalized services (if you have such a choice)?
Although, this field seems interesting, it also increases the number of terms used for "data mining". After the recent "super crunching", we can know talk about "reality mining". Feel free to comment if you want to add a new term to the list :-)
